1. Information We Collect
Welcome to MessHall! Your privacy is very important to us. This policy explains what information
we collect, how we use it, and your rights:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and "Call Sign"
(username).
- User Content: We store the recipes you import, items you add to your pantry, and messages
you send in Enlisted Club sessions.
- Payment Information: We use Stripe and RevenueCat to process payments. We do not store
your full credit card details on our servers.
- Device Data: We collect information about your device type and OS version to ensure the
app runs correctly.
2. Device Permissions
To provide our core features, we request access to:
- Microphone: Used for "Hands-Free" cooking commands (e.g., saying "Next" or "Back").
- Camera: Used for taking photos of your recipes or joining Enlisted Club video sessions.
- Keep Awake: Used during Cook Mode to prevent your screen from turning off while your
hands are busy.
- Notifications: To alert you of "Supply Drops" (tips) or plan reminders.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain the MessHall service.
- To process your subscriptions and tips.
- To notify you about updates or "Supply Drops" from other users.
- To improve our AI recipe parsing logic.
4. Data Sharing & Selling
We do NOT sell your personal data to any third parties. Your information is
only shared with essential service providers necessary to operate MessHall.
We share data with Supabase (Database), Stripe/RevenueCat (Payments), Agora (Video Streaming), and
Google/Apple (Authentication). If you use our "Shop" feature, your shopping list items are shared with your
chosen grocery fulfillment partner (e.g., Instacart).
5. Affiliate & Partner Disclosure
MessHall participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that if you click on a link to
a retailer (such as Walmart or Kroger) and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost
to you. This helps us keep the core MessHall experience free.
6. Your Rights
You can delete your account or export your data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us at
support@messhall.app.
